I'm Tahir Pathan — an aspiring AI Engineer from Nadiad, Gujarat, building with Python, Machine Learning and LLMs. Most recently I took accelerometer data off a wearable band and turned it into a model that classifies exercises and counts reps on its own.

About

I'm a BCA graduate at Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar, currently in my final years — and an aspiring AI Engineer who'd rather learn by shipping than by reading slides.

My work sits at the intersection of data and product: cleaning messy sensor streams, pulling features out of noise, and wiring the result into something a person can actually use. Outside of ML, I build full-stack apps end to end — from the Django backend to the interface someone clicks through.

I have complete working proficiency in Python, and I'm actively building with LLMs, Generative AI and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines. I'm currently exploring AI Agent Systems as the next step in that stack.

I also write TechTalks with Tahir, a weekly newsletter on AI trends and tooling, and I keep my project code public so the process is as visible as the result.

Barbell Exercise Classifier

A full pipeline on real accelerometer and gyroscope data from a wearable band — outlier removal with IQR, Chauvenet's criterion and LOF, a low-pass filter for noise, PCA, FFT-based frequency features, and peak detection for automatic rep counting.
